On the third weekend of every month the OCME or Orange County Model Engineers provide free train rides for all ages. The OCME is a non-profit organization and it is open to everybody with an interest in trains. This is the largest miniature train ride we’ve ever seen. The train site is located in Costa Mesa on a wild life preserve in the middle of a metropolitan area. More info is found in the link above. After we spend the day at Newport Beach. This was a great opportunity for the kids to explore.
