I brought along two of my film cameras to my friend’s daughter’s birthday, a Contax 645 with Zeiss 80mm f/2.0 *T and my faithful Olympus OM-2 and assorted lenses. Â Unusual of me to also use my Contax 645 for gatherings like this but I couldn’t resist because the kids were so photogenic. Â I used a few Fuji 400H and Ilford XP2 Super 400 black and white film. Â I was surprised by the results from my Olympus OM-2 together with the Zuiko 85mm f/2.0 (first two photos). Â Really sharp. Â Just a little more grain than the Contax but that’s to be expected. Â I used what remaining light shining through the trees for portraits of the kids. Â This is always the opportune times for portraits. Notice I shoot toward the sun and expose for the shadows?
