Fire and Smoke

Canon 5D MkII, EF 70-200mm 2.8L IS.

These photos were taken in November 2008 during one of California’s worst wildfires. Two bright yellow and red planes flying back and forth, my guess to the closest body of water I can think, Puddingstone Reservoir in San Dimas. The smoke looked very close but actually was not cause for alarm.  The sky gave an eerie sight of the destruction occurring not so far away in the distance.
